Cloud

By Aiden Power

Up above

In a kingdom high

Sits a faint whisper in the winter sky

Looking down from the vault of the heavens

Coming off with nasty impressions

The bustling of cityscapes

The quit outcry of social hate

Greed and envy taking over

Friendly enemies holding silent daggers

Wide-eyed children are shown what’s “right”

Phone screen distracting from a starry night

Disgust and pity rain from above

From the tiny cloud unloved

Hardened the cruel world seen

The cloud overlooks the tiny things

An old couple walking in a park

A few good friends walking home in the dark

Music and movies, smiling faces

The beauty of young moon phases

Looking down at the big picture can be quite grim

Admire the small things in life, like Jared Goff’s wins
